Dear Neighbor, I, John Tinpe, am running for Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 2C03, because I want this neighborhood to be better. This neighborhood has seen tremendous growth over the last two years. There has been an increase in residents and businesses. There has been an increase wealth, but there still remains a need for better service in sanitation, trash removal, vermin/pest control, noise, pan handling and homelessness. I will like to see representation in the neighborhood of all communities, including Shaw, Mt Vernon Square, Penn Quarter, and Chinatown. I will like to hear from all our neighbors, from businesses, home owners, condominium associations and apartments. I believe Neighborhood Commissions should be more transparent, that meetings should be held in a more professional and less emotional manner. I believe that everyone should be treated with respect, in the manner in which they will like to be treated. There are still many things wrong in the neighborhood, things which need to be addressed, from the basic slide in services to the disfunctional neighborhood meetings. I will change this when I am elected. So, I need your support on November 7, Election Day. Come out and show your support your love for your neighborhood by coming out to VOTE.
